HB/CTB and Child Maintenance
Sat 26-Apr-08 08:34 AM

Hi folks; I just wanted to make sure I understood the new SI correctly
(http://www.rightsnet.org.uk/cgi-bin/sub_client/search.cgi?template2=news/user_details2.htm&output_number=1&news.ID=41115331192)
So the child maint. payments will be invisible for calculating income of HB/CTB claimants from 27/10/08?
And also there are no changes to how these payments are treated for IS purposes?
Many thanks

hi .... changes will also be made to income suport, jsa and esa from october ... though regs not yet out ... there's a bit in our pre-budget report story ..

'... the child maintenance disregard in income support, income-based employment and support allowance and income-related JSA will rise from £10 to £20 per week by the end of 2008 and to £40 per week in April 2010 (paragraph 5.26) and the maintenance disregard in housing benefit and council tax benefit will increase from the current £15 per week to a full disregard by the end of 2008 (paragraph 5.27) ...'
