Well done the Pension's Service.
Thu 22-May-08 03:48 PM

You know when you telephone the Pensions’ Service and the recorded message tells you that your call me be recorded for training purposes and how you never believed it. Well t'other day I telephoned about a case and when I asked for action in the matter I was abruptly hung up on. In a fit of pique I immediately re-dialled and asked to speak to a supervisor in order that I might register a complaint about me treatment. I was asked what I wished as a response to my complaint and I said that an apology might be appropriate. I was told that this would be unlikely but my complaint would be passed on to the person who deals with such matters. The day after my telephone rang and the complaints’ person said that she had listened to the recording of my call and agreed that I was treated badly. The person guilty of the misdemeanour had been told that she was wrong and then, quite unbelievably, I received the unexpected apology. I nearly fell off my chair. Well done them – and, to coin a phrase: it certainly made a refreshing change.

I thought you might find this interesting. Thank you.
