LIMA blunders
Wed 06-Aug-08 06:17 PM

Over the years I have got used to two LIMA non-sequiturs from the drop-down menu:

"Adjusts daytime activities to take account of sleep problems" = sleep does NOT interfere with daytime activities

"Would like to work when illness is better" = is NOT afraid that work would bring back or worsen his illness.

A new one I have seen once or twice recently is the reported observation that the customer cannot reach forward to touch his knees, but no points given for bending and kneeling. This is sometimes so even when it is clear on a full reading of the IB85 that it's not a mistake but really is the doctor's observation and genuine opinion!

What do you do with them, eh?

Anorexic client at PCA. Very perceptive medical services doctor recorded; ‘looked thin’
Then went on to use ‘can cook & maintain self’ as a reason for scoring several activities!!
Ever wondered where the rejects from medical schools go?
